The Mistress of Macabre strikes again!
Your hypnotic appeal, the superb way you write, the ease with which you draw the reader into the story, it is all so hugely enjoyable….I love the way you lure us up blind alleys of expectation, love the way you lure us to assume the obvious and then bludgeon us with more twists and turns than a rampant corkscrew….totally spellbinding tale, brilliant thoughout with a knockout ending……loved it!!!

Aww…blush. Thanks, Shaggs! BTW, this is the piece that got picked up by Allegiant Publishing. Yay!!!
P.S. I fixed your typo. <3

How very interesting and heart breaking to read this from the point of view of the victim, and your finale was quite surprising.
Sue Coletta
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Susan. Thank you!

I feel it was me descending slowly in the murky waters. Slow, aware of my sorroundings, in love & in shock.
And that SOB, tending the corps as a garden. But, I will prevail.
Great, as always, Ms. Sue
Sue Coletta
Thank you, Eve. He is an SOB; you’re right. 🙂

Oooh, so well done! I was scratching my head at the prison bars part, wondering what you were up to, and then that ending…nice payoff and nicely executed!
I’m currently in Sue Coletta mode having finished WINGS OF MAYHEM last night. I still have Shawnee voice in my head. How long do I have to wait for book two? Mayhem was so good!!!
I posted a review to Amazon early but it still hasn’t shown up *grumble* I did post to Goodreads too, so you can find it there. I’ll give Amazon two days to post and then I’ll try again. You know how they are *grumble, grumble*

LOL Thank you, Mae. Yes, I saw the review this morning. Love it!!! Especially the part where you say you were jumpy when anyone spoke to you. So funny.
I’m bouncing between the sequel to Marred and Blessed Mayhem now. But every time I try to write something other than Blessed Mayhem Shawnee screams in my head. You know how she is. PITA. LOL It won’t be long, maybe mid-summer.
Mae Clair
YAY for that! And I glad the review finally showed up on the ‘Zon. I wouldn’t want Shawnee ticked off at me, LOL!

I got some really cool visuals from this one. The ending makes me think you need a puppy even more.
Sue Coletta
Hahahaha. Is it that obvious?
Roland Clarke
Great description and so emotional. And that twist was so clever, and craftily set up. Had me going off on all the wrong tangents.
